In Australia, defence vessels are designed, constructed and sustained at Austal Australia’s Henderson, Western Australia facility. Employing approximately 600 people, the facility is the home to the Cape Class Patrol Boat (CCPB) and High Speed Support Vessel (HSSV) programs. In addition, Austal Australia operates service centres in Darwin in the Northern Territory and Cairns in Queensland.
Austal Australia delivers the full lifecycle of support services to customers, from acquisition to sustainment and beyond; managing the design and construction of each vessel from start to finish. This provides excellent opportunities within design, production and support services for our highly skilled staff to utilise their talents and develop themselves and our teams, further.
