APPRENTICESHIPS
Austal Australia has a long-standing commitment to developing and retaining world-class tradespeople, which is reflected in our award-winning training record. Over 100 apprentices are currently learning and developing their trades from some of the world’s best shipbuilders at Austal Australia's Henderson and Naval Base (WA) shipyards.
Covering the key areas within the shipbuilding industry, Austal Apprenticeships provide you with an unequalled opportunity to gain a valuable trade qualification whilst building some of the world’s most advanced vessels.
In Australia, Austal takes on new apprentices and trainees each year in the following disciplines:

AUSTAL GRADUATE PROGRAM
The Austal Graduate Program provides a clear entry point into one of the world’s leading shipbuilders, offering real-world experience from day one. The two-year program includes structured development, training, and mentorship from experienced professionals. Graduates will rotate through key departments such as production, project management, design and more, gaining exposure to the full scope of shipbuilding operations while developing the skills needed for a long-term career in the maritime industry.
Opportunities available NOW in Engineering (Design, Naval Architecture, Mechanical and Electrical), Business and Finance, Commercial, Program (Project) Management and ICT.
